Building the Professional Leader: Turning Smart, Technical Performers into Leaders
A lesson that organizations frequently learn is that the skills that make someone a strong, technical performer often do not translate into effective leadership. Scientists, engineers, accountants, and lawyers are often promoted to leadership for the results they deliver in their technical roles without consideration of whether they will make good leaders. This seminar will focus on the unique challenge of helping technical performers make the transition to management and become leaders of smart people.
Join Bob Grace and Rik Nemanick, principals of The Leadership Effect, as they describe how they have helped technical performers of many types make the transition to become excellent leaders.
